Not only did John Rutigliano host the after round bbq but he won the day. Started off par/par finished the front with a net 31, struggled on the back with a net 38 but hung on for a 1 stroke win over Dan Price who finished with a net 70. He also won the back with a net 32. John also won Net Birdies with 11 and tied Bob Nowark with 2 Net Eagles. Reese Evans finished 11th today but was in three pots and was a +$19.00
In Match play Bob Nowark defeated Jim Petronchak 2 Up and Rick Newport tied Greg Cavallo and didn't want to the 19th hole.
BBQ was great, plenty of good food and drinks. Thank you all for coming.
July 13, 2024 (World Series Qualifier #4 - Neshanic Valley - R/L)
A questionable weather start but as always the DGA pushed through. Billy Bylina has punched his ticket to the World Series in impressive fashion both on and off the course. He shot a net 68 and was low on both the front and the back with a net 33 and net 35. Off the course he actually bought a round but of course blemished it a little by taking up a collection for a tip for the waitress. Quite unprecedented and I believe a first. Congratulations Billy for making it to World Series which he promises to attend.
Reese Evans also with an impressive round shooting gross 78 but was 3 shy of Billy.
The talk of the day were all the matches. Reese defeated Charlie (13 on Ridge 5) Connors 4 & 2, Andrew Keller handled Ed (1st Tee) Korleski 5 & 4, Billy romped George (I lost, can't come to the bar) Connors 6 & 5 and in a 34 hole battle Rick Newport finally defeated Jim Rinaldi 3 & 2. Congratulations to all of our match play winners.
