A great day to play golf - Jim Rinaldi wins by 1 over Mike Jeffries - Some greens were fast and some slow and the rough in places was brutal.
George Nolan makes a special appearance and ties for 1st Place with Jeffries with a Net 66. Even though there's a drought, the pond seems to be full in front of #6 as there were three 10's and two 9's recorded on that hole. In Partner's Matches, Petronchak/Rolph def. Rapp/Grote +4, Tucci/Rismanchi def. Ellis/Yusko +4 and in a last minute entry, Rinaldi jumps on Jeffries back and defeats Minutello/Smoot +5. Price shoots a good Johnnie.

Great golf weather day and Dennis Grote shoots a Net 69 for a one stroke victory over Rinaldi. Number 5 Ridge played difficult as the AVERAGE score (gross) on the hole was Double Bogey. All but three players shot better on the back 9 than the front 9. Jay Griffith has a Johnny shooting 43-32. Rapp and Grote possibly regret the decision to postpone their Partners Match against Petronchak and Rolph.
The decision to play the blue tees was greeted with much complaining, yet 3 of the 4 highest handicaps finished 1,2,3, none of whom did most of the bitching. Mansour Rismanchi rolls to a 4 stroke victory over Greg Cavallo, buys drinks and gives the waitress a hard time. Greens were quick and smooth, and the rough and fescue were tough resulting in some high gross scores (sorry that slipped out). Ron Ceglia showed what a sport he is by not killing Perry and Petronchak for laughing long and hard over his missed 4 inch putt which went 1/4 inch - straight down. Jay Griffith withdraws with an injured hip after 4 holes. Get well soon.
June 11, 2016 (Spooky Brook - World Series #2)
It was the Second leg of World Series and Warren Brook played difficult. Fortunately, we were playing at Spooky Brook. Minutello continues to amaze and shoots a Net 62 for a 3 shot victory over Korleski. Five Matches were played and none of them made it past the 16th hole. Rutigliano shoots a Net 26 on the back, but unfortunately his front was 17 shots higher (Mega Johnny?). Heda has three Net 1's on his card, all on Par 3's and wins the Net Par 3 pot with a 5!
Dan Price stays hot and holds off Jim Petronchak by one shot for two wins in a row. Very windy, but pleasant day at Fox Hollow. The first group finished at least an hour before the second group.
Dan Price starts the front Birdie, Par, Par and finishes the back Par, Birdie, Par and wins by 3 strokes over Jay Griffith. In individual match play, Rapp defeats Grote and Emma defeats Tim Worbel. I'm very uncomfortable submitting results that don’t include something about Mike Jeffries. HI Mike !
June 2nd, 2016 (Berkshire Valley)
Ron Ceglia goes out hot through 10 holes and then cooled off considerably, but still had enough for a one shot win over Dan Price. Besides Dan's eagle and Matt's back nine, Ron Ceglia won everything else. Dan Price makes an easy eagle on the drivable par 4 14th by hitting his drive off of the cart path which was 30 yards short of the green. The ball bounced 25 feet in the air and then rolled to the back pin and to 5 or 6 feet. It was Dan's 4th or 5th short shot that somehow rolled from way short of the green to inside of 10 feet (although the 14th was the only putt he made)!!
